Rubi Rose Benton was born Lexington, Kentucky, where she was also raised, to Nardos Ghebrelul, her mother who was an Eritrean immigrant dentist, and John Benton, her father who is an attorney and has half African-American and half-Japanese descendant. The girl was Eritrean however, her mother is from Ethiopia. Her father was adopted, which means her paternal biological grandmother is from Japanese origin. Her older sister is known as Scarlette and a younger sister known as Coral. She spent one year in Geneva. When she was in her junior year she relocated to Atlanta Georgia. Georgia State University's Political Studies program was her focus. She grew listening to Prince Michael Jackson Biggie Marvin Gaye Chaka Khan as well as Marvin Gaye. Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Mnaj have been among her inspirations. Rose became famous because she was the model for hip-hop group Migos' music video for Bad and Boujee. In the same year, she started regularly featuring on the Twitch stream with Jamaican-born East Coast Hip Hop Commentator DJ Akademiks. Rose has released her own tracks and became famous in the year 2019 when she released Rubi Rose:Big Mouth (2019). Rose was a guest star in Cardi B's video for the song Cardi B feat.
