Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised by an ethnically diverse family. She's English as well as her father was Nigerian. She was born in a south London council estate and when she was fourteen, she attended The Brit School. She studied acting in The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. She appeared on stage in many productions while attending school such as the King Henry V, as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her acting career with the film Storm Damage. She's appeared as an actor on Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her first role in a film was in Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. In the following year she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she was a part of Trexx as Ollie and in six episodes of Flipside. Madekwe played Bambi as Bambi in the ITV2 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe starred as the lead character in How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedy released in the year 2008. Her credits in theatre include Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009 with her drama The Beautiful Life. The show aired just two episodes before it was cancelled on The CW. Ashley Davenport, a character on ABC's Revenge drama series was cast to play Ashley Davenport. Madekwe's departure from the series was officially announced in May of 2013. After a period of two years as a main character, she made a guest performance in the first episode of season 3. Between 2014 and 2016, Madekwe was a star as Tituba in the TV series Salem. In June 2012, Madekwe got married to her long-time partner, actor Iddo Goldberg. They've collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl in the past, and Goldberg is also a part of the cast in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress who was raised in a big family. She was the daughter of Patty and Roy Leggat. Her four older brothers were also present: twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's brothers, who are all athletes, play in the summer months and play hockey during winter. Ashley had never been able to actually walk. She would dance. When she reached two and a half and a half, she was a part of Baby Ballet. Ashley began to be a dancer immediately after that. After graduating from High School, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in ballet, tap, jazz and pointe as well as acrobatics, lyrical, musical theatre and hip-hop. She won the top individualist in all the main dance contests, including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance to name a few.
